He may not be one of the flashiest players in the game but every team needs an Ivan Fabjan. Fabjan, who wears number 71 with the Mississauga Reps, is a tough, hard-working player with a high-compete level. He is always involved in the play and battles hard along the boards. The main reason why Fabjan is a player who coaches love is because he is tough to play against. He is strong on the puck, gets into the tough contested areas to get control of the puck in order to give it to the team's stars. He is a strong net-front presence who is highly effective on the powerplay as someone who can screen goaltenders to give his linemates a chance to score. 

While Ivan Fabjan is typically used in a more physical and gritty role, that does not mean he lacks offensive skill. Not just any net-front presence can earn a spot on the top-6 and on the 1st powerplay unit.
