Having posted a .926 SV% at the OHL cup, placing him amongst the top 5 goalies in the tournament, Jacob Gibbons is both huge and skilled. Gibbons is a rarity amongst the available goalies, as not only is he amongst the biggest, but he also displays an amazing skating ability, despite his height. Gibbons prides himself on his edge work, as well as his strong skating in the net, and is working more on his vision, as he sometimes gets caught having tunnel vision, which will make him a truly dominant goalie coming into the OHL. Gibbons is a fairly outgoing person, and is known to be very empathetic and thoughtful of others, often putting everyone else ahead of himself. Gibbons serves as a leader both on and off the ice, working to ensure everyone is ready to and trying to be as supportive as possible for his teammates, regardless of the circumstances. Gibbons tends to compare himself to someone like Andrei Vasilevskiy, die to them both being bigger guys with amazing speed and ability to play the butterfly extremely well. Gibbons is feeling confident about the upcoming draft, and understands that he has areas that must be corrected before he can make the jump, but also believes that with the right training and mindset, he will be able to make the jump sooner rather than later.
