A big two-way center, Justin Bottinue is a hard working player who excels in all three zones of the ice. Justin plays a full 200 foot game making sure the puck doesn’t end up in his own net while also setting up teammates in the offensive zone. In the defensive zone Justin is reliable. He keeps the play to the outside and gets into passing lanes. He isn’t afraid to get in front of the puck to block a shot either or go to the corners and battle for the puck. With the puck in his own zone Justin has the ability to not only make a strong first pass but also carry it if need be. In transition he uses his smooth and powerful skating to join the rush and become a threat. In the offensive zone he uses the half boards really well and sees the ice well. He’s a wonderful playmaker and dishes out passes without breaking a sweat. Don’t be fooled he has a wonderful shot that is very powerful and accurate. He is actively working on using it more and more frequently which will only add to his game. He cycles the puck well and uses his hands to create space for teammates and himself. Justin has a top notch work ethic and is actively working on building his 200 foot game. He has all the tools necessary to be an impactful player at the next level.
