A gritty and strong prospect, Lance Brown makes his presence known while on the ice impacting the game in a variety of ways. Brown is a strong two-way forward able to use his athletic ability to make strong moves on the puck defensively, as well as can generate offence single handedly in the offensive zone. Brown is a great all-around player, able to play at a fast pace in both ends. Brown is a fantastic skater, equipped with breakneck speed able to blow past defenders on route to the net, able to finish the job himself or use his vision to move the puck to his linemates for easy finishes. Brown plays with a definite mean-side, never shying away from the physicality of the game. Brown embraces battling in the corners as well as racing towards loose pucks in order to turn puck security into scoring opportunities on the other end. Brown's versatility is what sets him apart from other prospects, able to make game winning plays in multiple areas of the game. While Brown plays with a hard paced playstyle, he will need to improve on his drive as he has a tendency to quit on plays before they are over. If Brown can improve his internal motor, as well as continue to develop physically, Brown has the potential and the tools to become a solid prospect in the future.
