A bulldog on the ice, Liam O’Dette is a top tier athlete with a mean streak. O’Dette proves that big things come in small packages, and he showcases this in the form of delivering monstrous hits every game he is a part of. An irritant on the ice, O’Dette frustrates opposing teams to no end with his brutally physical style of play. O’Dette uses his speed and agility to apply pressure on the forecheck, making it near impossible for teams to generate breakout plays. With a high compete level, O’Dette never quits on a play, able to use his speed and athleticism to beat opponents to loose pucks, as well as fights hard along the boards. O’Dette has top of the line straight ahead speed, able to make stellar recoveries while moving on the back check. Offensively, O’Dette excels at crashing the net, using his breakneck speed to fly down the ice and makes use of his quick hands to bury nifty goals. O’Dette does need to work on his overall vision of the ice as he currently misses easy reads and open teammates causing stalls in play on the offensive end. O’Dettes raw athleticism and his high IQ have him set up for greatness if he can continue to commit to the game of hockey and hone in on his offensive skills. With an increase to his offensive output, as well as time being spent on reading the ice, O’Dette has a bright future ahead of him in hockey and will be an intriguing prospect to watch develop at the next level.
