One of the smartest players entering into the 2021 OHL Entry Draft, Loukas Chronis uses his elite hockey IQ to make high impact plays everywhere on the ice. Chronis has a gifted mind, able to read opposing players' sets easily and makes effective plays to take advantage of the weaknesses he sees. Chronis is exceptional at orchestrating the offence, able to lead his teammates into high danger scoring chances. Chronis has a high compete level, never taking a shift off and giving his all day in and day out. Chronis is not the most physically imposing player but is able to use his high IQ and quickness to win battles. With Chronis’s speed and vision he is a fantastic player on the penalty kill unit, able to apply pressure on the forecheck, cover his zone well, and turn turnovers into quick scoring chances on the other end. Chronis’s ability to work well on the forecheck is not limited to special teams, he is also strong at generating pressure and turnovers in even strength scenarios. Chronis does the little things well, able to make on the mark extra passes, positions himself well both within the offensive and defensive zones, and can be versatile for his team depending on the situation. Chronis’s versatility shows in his ability to play both the rightwing and centre positions strongly. Chronis is a truly complete player, with no skill outside of his wheelhouse. Moving forward, if he can increase his size and strength, Loukas Chronis could become a lethal player at the next level and could develop into a must watch prospect.
