Michael Barron is a forward who is known for his smarts on the ice. With great vision and really good IQ, Barron is a solid playmaking forward for his team. Barron also utilizes his speed greatly, using it to speed up or slow down the game whenever it is needed. For Barron, the biggest thing he needs to work on is his shot accuracy, which could help him develop a bit of a scoring edge, but also his strength. Though he may be on the smaller end, Barron can still grow, and he will only get stronger as he does so, so this isn’t an overly huge concern. Described as a great teammate, Barron can be seen wearing the A for his team, and displays some good leadership qualities to go with his play. While Barron may have a lower stock due to his size as of now, he could potentially up it if he continues growing. Barron is a very interesting player to watch as the 2022 OHL draft approaches, and should certainly draw some attention as time goes on. If he is drafted and chooses to commit to his OHL team, Barron could develop into a very similar player to what he already is, but he would be using that playstyle against a bigger, tougher group of opponents. Only time will tell, but Michael Barron should be gatting looks as we get closer to draft day.
