An absolute enigma, Michael LeFave has been unlucky since the start of the year, but this should not deter teams. LeFave, who is typically known for his amazing shot, which is seen as the hardest in the team, has really struggled to get into a consistent flow due to an injury plagued season. LeFave is a player that packs tremendous speed, however, and tries to couple it with his shot to score all the time. This can create issues for LeFave however, as he does get upset when he can’t generate goals, and thus can take himself out of games. This is why he is working on channeling his emotions. LeFave possesses great vision, and despite his size, is a physical presence on the ice. He is a really quiet and reserved player on and off the ice, and tends to let his play do the talking. Even though his results haven’t been where he wanted them, LeFave continues to be a hard battler every night, and has the ability to know when to conserve his energy. He also has very good hand eye coordination. LeFave is also being encouraged to work on his IQ further, and understanding when to shoot, and when it will result in a rebound. Overall, LeFave will slip farther than he should due to the past season, but if he can get back into a swing next year, he could be on track to becoming a reliable OHL centerman sometime in the future.
