A technically skilled goalie who is dedicated to perfecting his craft Owen Nash is someone every team should keep a close eye on. Known for being on a very skilled tandem on his Kitchener Jr. Rangers team he is always in a friendly competition with his teammate to keep sharp and play better to increase time spent between the pipes. Owen is positionally sound and knows where his posts are at all times which allows him to come out and be aggressive in his crease forcing the shot to beat him. He uses that skill to be comfortable and angle off opponents making seemingly high danger opportunities look easy. Owen is very agile and gets across his crease quickly. His rebound control is above average and more times than not he puts the puck into the corner and out or harms way. He possesses the reflexes however to recover when he does leave a poor rebound. Owen tends to look unphased when his crease is busy with traffic. He reads developing plays well and relies on his instincts when screened. His reaction time to pucks changing directions is something that really stands out and allows him to make saves most goalies can’t. As Owen gets stronger and gains experience as a goalie, his work ethic and talent show that he can be effective at the next level.
