A firecracker on the ice, Peter Freels explosive playstyle puts all opposing players on notice as he cements himself as a dangerous player each time his number is called. Freel is a solid all-around player that does everything right while on the ice, never taking bad penalties or making bad decisions.  Freel is not a flashy player, able to keep himself centred and make smart plays with the puck in order to help his team win. Freel plays the game the right way, always looking to make the extra pass, and never forgets to finish a check. Freel is as solid as they come, never one to be pushed around he fights back and plays a physically imposing game from start to finish. Even while being undersized in some contests, Freel can crash and bang with the best of them, a never dying spirit that fears no man. Freel is a superb player on the penalty kill, able to apply pressure on the forecheck and can create turnovers at a high rate. A great teammate and locker room presence, Freel is a hard worker and has a great attitude. While Freel has an affinity to the physical side of the game he has no issues putting up points. Being able to move effectively without the puck puts him in high danger scoring chances often and Freel has the skills and power to finish plays hard. Freel has solid hands around the net able to deke well, and also has solid hand-eye coordination for redirecting the puck. Moving forward Freel has all the makings to handle himself well at the next level. Freel will look to become more involved in the offensive side of things but is an invaluable asset for any team competing to win.
