Hailing from Illinois, right shooting, Ryker Lee, plays a big game. While he is on the smaller end, standing at only 5’3, Lee plays the game like he is 6’3. He has no problems going into the dirty areas of the game, and is extremely competitive. Lee has some of the highest hockey IQ around, and plays a very high skill game. In fact, this skill is what helped Lee put up an astounding 60 points in 40 games in the 2020/21 season with Shattuck St. Mary’s, 16 of which were goals. Right now, Lee is working on his first strides, as being a smaller player, he is being limited in that regard. However, if Lee ends up growing more, it will help him tremendously, as he will be able to get his speed to a whole new level, and when coupled with his already great skill set, he could become a serious offensive threat. As of now, something along the lines of a mix of Brenden Gallagher and Brad Marchand could be used as a comparable for Lee. As he continues to grow both mentally and physically, his game will grow too, and Lee could be a fast riser in draft rankings if this happens. Only time will tell, but if a team decides to take him in 2022, he could be a bit of a treat for them to watch offensively.
