One of the top offensive defensemen on the Halton Hurricanes, Seth Doney has his sights set on the OHL. Doney is known for being a very good skater and one of the smartest dmen around, and where he lacks size, he makes up for it in his game reading and anticipation. Doney loves the physical side of the game, and has even created a ritual on who he is going to lay out before every game. Doney serves as the team prankster, and is always smiling. While he is prone to putting a lot of pucks on net, he does struggle to get pucks anywhere, with most of them getting blocked. This is due to his release, which he has been working on, so that he can get the puck off faster, alongside his first couple strides, which could use some work. Defensively, Doney is also quite reliable, as he is capable of holding the line well. With the 2022 OHL draft approaching, Doney could go anywhere amongst the higher end of rounds, largely due to his offensive numbers, where he put up just shy of a point per game pace. For whoever takes Doney, expect a guy with a high drive, who will set it all on the line if it means getting a crack at the OHL.
