Goal scoring is usually a challenge for hockey players, this however is not the case for Alliance scoring leader Tate Vader.

Tate, known primarily by his last name Vader, is an electric goal scorer with a dominant and overwhelming shot. Vader’s next level shot has a very quick release with a lot of power, he loves to use deceptive angles that fool opposing goalies and before you know it the pucks in the back of the net. Tate is a pure sniper and he has wicked hands as well. He has quite a “variety of tricks in his bag” someone close to him has said and he loves to be crafty and get around opponents seemingly always winning one on one situations. Tate skates similar to Nathan Mackinnon, he has a very powerful stride and often his first few strides lead him to be one of the fastest skaters out there. In both ends of the ice Vader is not afraid to use his strength to come out of the half boards and the corners with the puck, he hits hard when he needs to and forechecks consistently. Tate is quickly learning how to utilize his teammates and his playmaking ability is evolving into a threat. Like most young players, defense is still being taught but there is no concern in his own zone and he is just getting better. In the faceoff circle he uses his size and strength to win a majority of his draws by overpowering opponents. Tate is very well liked by teammates and coaches with an outgoing personality. Entering his final year and a half if Tate continues to be the dominant player he is, it’s very obvious he has what it takes to be a complete player at the next level.
