A big goalie with loads of potential, Trenten Bennett is a key reason his team stays in games. Trenten, one of the biggest goalies in his age group is a very strategic goalie who reads plays very well and positions himself accordingly. Trenten moves quickly across his crease and is very agile for his size, he stays square to the puck and angles shots off well. Trenten has a very high hockey IQ and reads developing plays, which allows him to stay ahead of opposing teams and make saves most goalies can’t. Trenten has a strong glove hand and rarely lets goals past him on the blocker side either. He has strong legs and drops quickly however he does rely on his size down low. His rebound control is a strength of his, he rarely allows a bad rebound and when he does he recovers quickly. Trenten is a very calm goalie in net and does not get disturbed after giving up a goal, his presence in net has an ability to calm players on his team and project confidence. Like most young goalies, Trenten will require some time to further develop however, he has all the tools to become a very good goalie at the next level.
