Despite a broken arm, which sidelined him for most of the OHL cup, William Eggleton was still able to suit up for the teams championship game, and has had his name etched into history as an OHL cup champion. Eggleton is someone who really prioritizes his skating ability, and is one of the better skaters available at the 2022 OHL draft due to his speed and his edges. This has led him to find a comparable in Mitch Marner, thanks to both the skating, and also his ability to set up teammates, and even pull off some very crucial goals when needed. Eggleton is a very competitive and hard working player, and has a constant drive to win at everything he does. Eggleton has been nominated for the Travis Barron leadership award in the past, and even served as captain for his lacrosse team, thus displaying an amazing ability to lead. Ahead of the draft, Eggleton has been working on getting a more accurate shot. With the draft coming up, Eggleton is confident in his ability to make the jump to the OHL thanks to his experience playing in the OJHL, which has prepared him for an older, bigger, more physical, and more intense game. At the OHL level, Eggleton could develop into a smooth skating, playmaking winger in a teams middle 6, making him a highly alluring option to select at the draft.
