A big, mean defenseman, right shooting Xavier Beauchamp, loves the physical game. Putting his massive frame to good use, Beauchamp can absolutely bully his opponents on the ice, and has a natural mean streak to him. Even now, Beauchamp is already garnering interest from outsiders. Though his physical game is his biggest upside, it is also his biggest downside. Beauchamp can sometimes get a bit wound up, and can find himself going a bit over the top. This would result in him overplaying the puck, following the opponent into the corner to deliver a crushing blow, but leaving the net wide open as a result. While this isn’t the greatest thing for a defenseman, it is correctable, and it shouldn't hurt him too much, come the 2022 OHL draft. By the draft, Beauchamp could have himself in a position where he can go in the mid rounds, where his huge frame and right shot can help raise his stock. In the OHL, Beauchamp could continue on his current path as a big, physical defenseman, something along the lines of a Radko Gudas type of player. Regardless, Beauchamp could prove to be a monstrous player to square up to in the OHL, and could be a physical presence for whatever team decides to take a chance on him.
