Despite his smaller stature, Vince Albanese is not someone you want to mess with. Albanese will not back down from any competition, regardless of the size, and despite not being the tallest, he plays an extremely physical game and finishes his checks 100% of the time. Albanese is very aggressive and relentless on the puck, and always plays with grit and determination. This has seen Albanese land a leadership role with the Coyotes, as he serves as a great leader that does as he is told, and is willing to put it on the line to help his team get the win. Albanese has a lot of offensive upside, being more of a playmaking type of forward, and is thus working further on his shooting ability so that he can become more of a goal scorer than what he already is. This means going to the open areas of the ice or going to the scoring zones, instead of trying to make an extra move that he may not have to make. The style Albanese plays is most well seen in the likes of Brad Marchand, who is also a smaller player with tremendous skill and edge. Albanese is extremely energetic and enthusiastic, and is very easy to talk to. He loves being able to communicate with his teammates, and acts to brighten them up when they’re down. Albanese is very excited about the 2022 OHL draft, and is very confident that he will be selected, but is also prepared to keep grinding day in and day out should he get passed on. Albanese will use this drive to constantly improve to push himself to his full potential, and will hopefully get his shot at the next level, where he could be a gritty, bottom 6 producer.
