The Prospects by Sports Illustrated Internship Program

Now accepting applications for roles in Sports Media, Sports Marketing, Event Management and Journalism.

Yassine Elbermaki is a quintessential attacking midfielder with a complete skillset to compliment his teammates. Where other players at such a young age might get focused on flashiness and forcing the big play, Yassine’s exceptional talent is his amazing game IQ, and a knack for always making the right play.

Despite being a high end scoring threat in the final third, Yassine loves to distribute the ball and create space for his teammates, and can see the field with vision beyond his years. He delivers properly weighted and timed passes with crisp precision, and handles the ball at the top of his class. His dribbling, trapping, shooting, and passing are all elite for his age group.

Yassine plays for the TFC Jr. Academy, as he was invited after leading his rep team to an undefeated season and championship win. While there he continues to work day in and day out to improve his skills with professional coaches and staff. To take his game to the next level Yassine would like to work on his long term endurance, and as such has already started specialized sprint training with and without the ball to more efficiently use his explosive first step.

At such a young age, Yassine’s game sense is matched only by his passion for the game of soccer. He is a true field general, seeing the pitch and making decisions quicker than his opponents time and time again. A student of the game, Yassine continues to get better every day in the sport that means everything to him. One of the most advanced and technical players of his generation, Yassine has a very real chance to take his game to the professional level and become a household name in the sport he loves so dearly.
