Matthew Lee is a strong two-way forward that demonstrates high hockey IQ and on ice awareness. Lee is strong on the puck and creative in the offensive zone. He makes smart, quick plays in all zones and is able to effectively create scoring opportunities for his team. Matthew has a high compete level and is not afraid to dig deep in corners. He is heavy on the forecheck and forces turnovers. He is currently working to improve his lower body strength so that he can have a faster first 3 steps to become even more explosive. Given his reliability in all situations, Lee will be able to provide the support an OHL team seeks in this year’s Priority Selection draft.
