The Prospects by Sports Illustrated Internship Program

Now accepting applications for roles in Sports Media, Sports Marketing, Event Management and Journalism.

Every team is looking for a flashy playmaker, a magician with the puck combined with wonderful vision is a rare combination most teams envy but Lambton has that in Casey Schouten. Starting in the offensive zone, Casey always has his head up looking for an open man in the slot. He is known to find passes no one else would see and using his hands he creates passing and shooting lanes by wearing down defenders. In transition he works hard on the back check and can lead breakouts. He uses his speed, hands and hockey IQ to shift through opponents. In the defensive zone he is a reliable player who is trusted upon by his team to shut it down when they need it. All in all Casey’s game is very well rounded and continuing to improve as he builds strength and works hard off the ice. As this puck magician continues his progression it would be a shock to none to see him on a highlight reel at the next level.
