A hard nosed winger, Ethan Quick is no pushover. Quick is a physical player, embracing hard contact situations, often walking away on the winning end. Quick uses his size and strength to body opponents against the glass, as well as lay the boom with hard open ice checks. Quick's ability to do the dirty work and play a physical style helps his team immensely as it wears down opponents and allows his linemates to extend their energy towards gathering the puck and pushing it in transition. Quick does have legitimate skills to go along with his bruising style of play. Quick has excellent vision, able to make plays for his teammates in transition as well as within the offensive zone. Quick excels at capitalizing on odd-man rush opportunities, making the right decision whether to shoot or find his open line mate. A weakness of Quicks game ironically is his slow pace of play. His speed is lackluster and does not possess the skating ability to become fully effective at the next level. If Quick can work on his skating skill and become a quicker player on the ice, his talent level will increase as well as his total production. Quick is a raw prospect as of now, but has a great upside. If Quick can continue his take no prisoners style of play, as well as increase his stick skills, Quick could develop into a solid player.
