Never afraid of the big moment, Gavin Ewels uses his strong skill set and determined mindset to make game winning plays whenever he is on the ice. A strong skater, Ewels uses his strong evasiveness to push the puck past opposing players, as well as being able to make the correct decisions in order to move the puck forward to his teammates when moving into the offensive zone. Ewels puck moving skills are not limited to the transition game however, Ewels has great vision and is able to read the game incredibly well while on the ice. Ewels can make smart reads before snapping the puck to his teammates while orchestrating high danger scoring chances for his line mates. Ewels determination to make big plays for his squad is what makes him stand out on an incredibly strong Barrie Jr Colts squad, able to make winning plays and decisions on both ends of the ice. Ewels versatility is a major asset into his game as well as within his mindset, allowing himself to be a productive player in a variety of situations. Ewels moving forward has some definite upside and has the ability to become a solid prospect to watch in the future.
