As powerforward as it gets in the Alliance Hockey league, Noah Mathieson is something all teams look for in grit and skill. Noah is not afraid of anyone and adds a physical edge most kids his age don’t have with a combination. He loves to hit anywhere on the ice offensive zone, defensive zone and neutral zone. This is because of his very competitive nature as he wants the puck and he wants to put it in the back of the net. With the puck he’s one of the most dangerous people in his age group. He uses his big body to protect it in transition and has a hard yet deceptive release that beats goalies frequently. When set up within the offensive zone you will find him down low battling for the puck, in front of the goalie being a pest of sorts and battling for positioning to tip in the puck or bang in rebounds, or along the half walls where he exceeds and cycles the play better then most his age. He has a great shot but also wonderful vision which makes him a dual threat. When bringing the puck in on transition he has explosive speed and solid hand-eye coordination that allows him to get burst by opposing defenders and create odd man rushes. He backchecks as hard as he forechecks, very hard, and in the defensive zone uses his size to clear the net and body opponents off the puck. He helps his defence out and defends the point well and will get in front of shots when needed. Noah Mathieson is the definition of a power forward and is a player all teams would benefit from having in their lineup.
