Carter Lawson is an extremely mobile defenseman with a unique set of talents. Lawson is able to make exceptional reads and use his speed and skating ability to close down plays and stop attackers from entering the zone. Carter previously played forward before transitioning last year to defense and he played a key role in unlocking success and growth for his team. He is able to cleanly move the puck out of the zone and exit with speed and possession. Like many players in his age group, Carter will need to continue his strength development, this will allow him to have a stronger shot. Given his playing history, Lawson has high value as a defender that will hopefully transition into the OHL stage.
