A solid offensively minded forward who has made an appearance in the GOJHL with the Listowel Cyclones, Colton Henderson has his eyes set on the 2022 OHL draft. Henderson is a guy who can produce high offensive numbers on both sides of the game, be it through his ability to shoot the puck and pick corners, or his ability to find his teammates to generate scoring opportunities. Henderson has an extremely high compete level, and when coupled with his fast skating, it makes him an amazing forechecking forward. Henderson is also able to buy into a system very well and tries to understand it well and works to always be in the right position on the ice. Henderson serves as a kind of glue in the dressing room, being able to pull his teammates closer through his positive, kind, and helpful personality. This led his teammates to look to him as a leader in the room and on the ice, something he takes great pride in and works hard towards. Henderson sees himself as being like a Steven Stamkos kind of player, with good skating, a hard shot, and the ability to fight off defensemen with his vision, puck smarts, and calm plays. Henderson is currently working hard on his stride, as with his height, he needs to work on staying low and lengthening his stride, making it smoother and less choppy. Henderson feels confident about the draft, though he is working to grind away in the off season at the gym in order to stay in shape and build some muscle.
