When you watch the Markham Majors play, chances are that you took notice of their captain Connor Haynes. Haynes is a creative offensive threat who is strong on the puck and is a skilled puck-mover as well. He is always active in the offensive zone and is a dangerous player along the boards. He uses his strength and quick feet to change directions and confuse attackers along the boards so that he can get a pass off to the slot. Haynes has good offensive awareness and positioning which makes him a dangerous player around the net. To become an even deadlier player in the slot, Haynes could work on improving his decision making with his shot. He has a quick release and decent accuracy but doesn’t always get enough of his stick on the puck in tight areas. He does find himself with these types of scoring chances often so getting even better at capitalizing on them will make him an even more dangerous player.
