One of the biggest forwards in this year's draft, Dean Letourneau was just named the top rookie second runner up in the HEO U18 league. Letourneau is capable of dominating thanks to his unique combination of size, speed, skill, and scoring ability, making him a truly lethal player up front. This will only get more impressive, as Letourneau has been working on his strength, his first three strides, and his play from the puck, which would make him an all around dominant player overall. Letourneau is a good teammate, and is always positive, yet is also highly competitive at practically everything he does. Letourneau compares himself to rising star, Tage Thompson, due to them both being big centremen who have a ton of skill and a 200 foot game. Due to Letourneau’s experience playing against older players in the HEO, he feels he is ready to make the next step, and is looking forward to putting in the necessary work to get to the OHL. Once he makes a roster, expect Letourneau to develop towards being a top 6 centreman, who can use his size to drive a game, while using his skill and speed to produce more offense. Letourneau could also feature on the teams PK and PP units, and serve as a crucial member of his team.
