Despite suffering a broken fibula and high ankle sprain before the season, which saw him have to get back into a groove later into the season, Isaac Lorentz really made quite the comeback given his circumstances. Lorentz is a proper, well rounded forward, who is able to create space for his teammates and create offense through his playmaking abilities, as well as utilizing his complete 200 foot game to be reliable in his own zone as well. Lorentz is also very dangerous with the puck, as he can get up to very high speeds with it. Lorentz’s skill set has helped land him a comparable in Patrice Bergeron, who is another forward who is great at creating offense, while also having a very good two-way game. Lorentz serves as his team captain, and has a more quiet and lead by example approach, but he also has a great sense of humour, is very respectful, and is really easy going. Coming up to the 2022 OHL draft, Lorentz is working on being able to maintain a steady amount of confidence to keep playing to his best abilities, while also working one a more quick and accurate shot, making him a more dangerous scoring threat. As a kid who lives on a farm, Lorentz understands that hard work is what pays off, and is looking to translate that to his major junior career, where he is ready to step into a quicker environment, where he knows he will need to adapt.
