An explosive winger, Justin Cloutier has tremendous potential in his future. Cloutier is a sneaky player, able to slip through defenses and find open lanes towards the net. Cloutier is a great skater with a wicked shot. Cloutier is no stranger to registering points on the board, able to light the lamp with ease game in and game out. Cloutier has a dynamic game, working hard on both ends of the ice, ready to make a big play at any time. Cloutier is an incredibly hard worker, never giving up on a play, salivating at the chance to shift the tide in his team's favor. While Cloutier is a standout player on offence, his defense needs immediate improvement. While severely undersized currently (especially along the wing) Cloutier needs to work on his fundamentals on defense. His stick checking is below par, and due to his small size his body checking is completely hindered. While Cloutier has a tremendous work ethic, he will need to put his best efforts forward with a focus on defense if he wants to succeed at the junior level. Cloutier has the makings of a fantastic offensive player but there is still a question mark around his development. If Cloutier is able to mature physically and improve his defensive abilities, Cloutier could steadily rise the ranks for 05’ prospects.
