A fantastic athlete, Kaeden Johnston has a solid skill set that has propelled him into a top prospect to watch going into the 2021 OHL Entry Draft. A great sense for the game, Johnston is a natural on the ice. Johnston is a smart player, able to position himself well on the ice and can make quick adjustments in order to make a smart play on the puck. Johnston has tremendous awareness, able to track down the puck and stick with his man in order to stop the rush. Johnston has all the tools to become a high-level player, this is highlighted by his great scoring touch. Johnston is able to bury his shots in various situations, able to work craftily around the net, or fire off hard snapshots past the netminder. Johnston is a good skater, able to use his speed and acceleration to beat defences and fly back on the back check. After some soul searching due to some shortcomings in the past, Johnston has developed ten-fold in the past few years both mentally and physically. Johnston has worked tirelessly on his game and has become a leader on and off the ice. In this hard work Johnston has also developed his athletic ability to the next level, adding muscle and becoming an overall better player as a direct result. With his stellar work ethic and mindset coupled with his strong offensive game, Kaeden Johnston has a fantastic chance at playing at the next level and excelling when he gets there.
