Now playing with the Milton Menace of the OJHL, Aiden Cormack was the #1 defenseman for the Halton Hurricanes. Cormack's transitional game is top notch, with amazing skating both forwards and backwards. Cormack has excellent feet, and is capable of moving laterally very well. Cormack is capable of playing both the right and left side as well, making him a very versatile defenseman to keep around. Cormack possesses a natural offensive instinct, and is known to jump into the rush effectively, or walk the line and take advantage of his heavy shot to absolutely rip a puck at the goalie. Despite this, Cormack is encouraged to use his shot more. Cormack is a more quiet and reserved player, but he is also one of the hardest workers on the team and serves as part of the leadership group. Cormack struggles at times with his confidence, which can take him out of a game, but when he is feeling good he is next to elite. The biggest thing his draft team will need to work on will be to help him work on his confidence further so that he will continue to play at the high level he can on a regular basis. With the 2022 OHL draft looming closer, expect to see Cormack's name pop up more and more, where he could go amongst the higher rounds of the draft. Cormack will likely take another year of development to fully work on his confidence, and then will be able to step into an OHL position, where he could eventually develop towards being a consistent top 4 guy.
