One of the top goalies in the ETA right now, Michael McIvor is arguably one of the most competitive goalies you will ever see. His competitiveness is so high that McIvor is the type of goalie that doesn’t even like being scored on in practice, proof that he’s someone that will work to correct mistakes and will constantly look to improve. McIvor is an extremely acrobatic and athletic goalie, though he also plays a very quiet, calm, and relaxed style of game, which will only make him look better in the eyes of scouts, who will want to recommend a guy who can keep a level head and stay focused throughout a game. McIvor is also extremely well positioned, and is capable of swallowing everything that comes at him. McIvor is a goalie who has improved greatly during his time off, and will continue to improve as time progresses. With the 2022 OHL draft coming up, expect to see McIvor’s name get called, partially due to his status, being amongst the best goalies number wise in the league, but also due to his strong play. McIvor in all honesty would be an amazing goalie add, and it should be capitalized on if he ends up slipping, because he could provide stability in the crease for multiple years at the OHL level.
