An extremely versatile forward, Clark Dunford is a player that you can slide back to defense when you’re in a pinch and expect good results. Dunford is known for his good 200 foot game, which is paired amazingly with his elite on-ice vision. Dunford is a big body overall, but he is a player who packs high speed, and is capable of playing at high speeds as well. Because of this, Dunford is capable of burying a team in his offense with his quick release when shooting the puck. Dunford is a natural leader, and takes great pride in bringing his leadership both on and off the ice every night. Dunford is also someone who is always in a good mood, no matter the situation. Whether it's smiling 24/7 or just always having a good time, Dunford is an excellent presence in the room for both his leadership and positive attitude. Dunford has currently been hard at work on his defensive play and skating, as he serves as a defenseman on the PP, as well as the aforementioned off time when the team is short on defensemen. He is also working on his edge work, which will help his skating greatly, making him even more difficult to catch than he already is. Dunford is feeling confident about the prospect of making the jump to the next level as he has played in Jr B and attended a Jr A camp, both of which he played well in. Dunford is extremely excited to see what the future holds for him, and can’t wait to see where his junior career will take him. Expect to see Dunford going quite high in the 2022 OHL draft as he was ranked amongst the top 50 for the OHL draft eligible prospects. At the OHL level, Dunford could likely step in right away, but could also take an additional season to better hone his skills. Regardless, Dunford could be a very solid top 6 player, who can utilize his 200 foot game in all situations, while coupling his laser shot with his speed to outmaneuver his opponents. The future is bright for this young forward.
