Connor Doyle is one of the greatest stories out of the ETA right now. This is because the young forward is in his first AAA season, and he has assimilated to the game perfectly, making him arguably the teams top forward when healthy. Doyle is a natural center, however the team has been deploying him on the wing this season. Doyle is a player who can put up a high goal total with a high end AAA shot. Doyle also packs amazing speed, allowing him to beat the defenders wide along the boards. Despite his high skill, Doyle also plays a very physical game, which really makes him an all around nightmare for his opponents. The downside, Doyle has missed a large portion of the season due to a broken wrist, which could potentially affect his goal scoring ability. However, if Doyle’s recovery goes well, and he can continue to put up heaps of goals, he could up his draft stock immensely over the course of the season, and possibly get himself into the conversation for a mid round pick. For Doyle, it is difficult to say how he will pan out for the OHL at the 2022 OHL draft, as he has such a small sample size compared to the other draft eligible players, so he could potentially slip further. With his quick rise to prominence, Doyle could get himself a crack in the OHL earlier than some may expect, where he could serve as a physical, goal scoring winger in a teams middle 6 group.
