Despite having to be operated on due to a knee injury he suffered last season, right shooting defenseman, Graydon Finch, has come back stronger than ever. Odds are, Finch could grow to be a very large defenseman, standing at the 6’0, 200 lb range. Finch is a very strong skater, and plays a very aggressive style of game, and is a very hard worker in practice. Even after his operation, Finch has performed very well during his practices, which is a good sign. Somehow, his skating actually found a way to improve after his injury. Finch is also a very smart and skilled player, who at one point even tried the Savardian Spin-O-Rama a number of years ago. Finch could expect to go sometime in the mid rounds, however if he keeps improving at the pace that he is, he could really up his draft stock by the time the 2022 OHL draft comes around. In the OHL, Finch could be a very big, mobile defenseman, that could rely heavily on his skill to assist his team, perhaps something similar to a Cale Makar style of play. If one thing is for certain, Finch could end up surprising a lot of people in the future, and could be a hidden gem in the making.
