Described as a natural leader, Johnny Delverne was voted to wear the A for his team by his own teammates. This only goes to show how his peers view him, and what his potential upside as a team leader could be in the future. Delverne is a role playing forward who can play on either the wing or at centre, and has been described as a blue collar hard worker. Delverne is a player who is very capable of putting the puck in the back of the net, and also sports a really great hockey IQ as well. Delverne, being on the smaller side compared to many other players in the age level, could benefit from working on his strength more, which is something that will come as he grows and works out. He could also work on his shooting accuracy. Overall, Delverne presents a lot of upside, and could serve as a solid, roleplaying forward in the OHL, where he could also bring a lot of leadership to his team to compliment his play. While his draft stock could slip due to his size, Delverne is a player that should be getting looks from scouts, and could prove to be a worthy asset for a team moving forward.
