A Wisconsin born player, left shooting forward, Kristian Epperson, is described as simply elite. One of the higher end American players available for the 2022 OHL draft, Epperson displays extreme talent at the age level. He is a strong player who works hard on the puck. He is a very hard player to lay a check on, and is capable of making extremely skilled plays that simply leave someone saying “wow”. Epperson has worked hard on his shooting ability, and has cemented himself as a top scorer for Shattuck St. Mary’s as well, which helps him become more of a threat because of his strong skating. Epperson also displays a very well rounded game, with a solid 200 foot game. Epperson has an extremely high work ethic and is constantly improving. While he was most comfortable in the centre position for a long time, Epperson has grown into a very formidable winger, and has been happy to stay there, but is capable of transitioning around on the front end if he needs to. Epperson is encouraged to work on his whole game. This includes his play away from the puck, his first stride, and his teamwork, as he tends to hold onto the puck for a bit too long at times. Despite this, Epperson is described as a good kid, and will look to make a statement in the upcoming season, as he could potentially be highly ranked amongst the available American talent.
