Standing at an impressive 6’1 and 187 lbs, Liam Greentree plays a big, aggressive game. Greentree is amongst some of the best forwards available for the 2022 OHL draft, and thanks to his 7 point outing at the OHL cup, he is shaping up to be one of the higher selected ones as well. Greentree’s playstyle, which is a more offensively driven game, where he uses his size, strength, and aggressiveness to get the job done, has compared himself to Mark Scheifele. Greentree could also present some leadership qualities, similar to his comparable, as well, as he sports an A on his jersey, serving as one of the team leaders. Over his youth hockey career, Greentree has been proven to be able to put up higher point totals, with past seasons seeing him well over a point per game. With the OHL draft approaching, expect to see Greentree go very high, where he could arguably step into the O right away, though maybe not in the high minutes like he is used to. Instead, Greentree could be best broken in in the middle 6, where he could serve as a play-driving winger, and eventually could make his way onto the top two lines, where he could be an amazing compliment to his team's top centreman. If anything is for sure, Greentree will have a future at the next level.
