A very versatile forward, big left shot Mason Morden is capable of playing both the wing, and at centre, a common theme with the Petes players. Despite his giant frame, Morden has very smooth hands, which couples nicely with his hard, accurate shot and quick release. Morden is a player who is very good at keeping himself in line, and strives to be his best every single day, and is known to be a very good self motivator. Last season was Morden’s first at the AAA level, which sadly saw him missing a lot of time due to an injury, and with this year looking like it should have been a measuring stick season for him, things began to get shut down due to the pandemic. Despite this, Morden continues to stay motivated, and continues to push himself to his limit, improving every day. Obviously it is still really early in regards to a final idea of where Morden could go, but he could end up being a bit of a surprise if he can get in a full season to truly show what he’s got. Morden could turn into a big, strong forward, who can lug the puck along to the net at the next level. Only time will tell obviously, but Morden could find himself putting on a new teams jersey in a little over a year.
