Despite being one of the least seasoned AAA players available, Nolan Donnelly has caught up to the rest of the pack, even landing him a spot as an honourable mention on the top 50 prospects list. Donnelly is exactly what you want out of a power forward, big, solid, and extremely physical. While Donnelly is a very good checker, he also provides a very high offense for his team. Donnelly packs a tremendous shot, allowing him to put up very high goal totals. Donnelly packs great straight line speed as well, making him a lethal offensive threat due to his speed, size, and shot. Already, this kind of sounds similar to a Brady Tkachuk kind of player. Donnelly is a very eager learner, and is always looking to get better. Right now, Donnelly is continuing to work on the little parts of his game, helping to better round him out as a player. With the 2022 OHL draft coming up, Donnelly is likely going to go higher in the draft thanks to his mention on the top 50 list. With this said, Donnelly may not step in right away, but when he does he will likely develop to be what he is now, just at a higher level. Most likely, Donnelly will remain a winger that can use his speed, physicality, and shooting ability to punish his opponents in all facets of the game. Power forwards only come around occasionally, so it will definitely be a worthwhile idea to take a look at Donnelly when he’s on the board, as he could serve as a crucial member of any OHL squad.
