Will Mathers is a well-rounded, highly athletic winger. Will has a larger frame which allows him to effectively play a heavy and physical game. Will has a cannon of a shot, that is both strong and accurate. Mathers is a versatile two-way player that knows the game well, he is able to swiftly read and predict plays. Like many players of his size, skating is something that Mathers will need to improve on. Will’s natural athleticism should allow him to improve his skating at a faster rate compared to other big players. Though, if he is not able to increase his speed on the ice, Mathers will have to use his size to his advantage in order to create space and generate shots in order to be a potential threat at the next level.
