Men's Hockey
There are currently 61 NCAA Division 1 hockey programs. Within Division 1, schools are allowed to offer both full and partial scholarships.
NCAA Division 2 and 3 currently have 89 universities, within a varsity hockey program. These schools are not authorized to offer athletic scholarships, however, many will grant athletic scholarships, financial aid, and student loans.Together, there are 150 NCAA universities and colleges that have hockey programs offering incentives to almost 4000 student athletes per year.
Women's Hockey
There are currently 37 Women's NCAA Division 1 hockey programs. Division 1 schools are allowed to offer both Full and Partial scholarships. NCAA Division 2 and 3 currently have 66 Universities with a Womens Varsity hockey program. While these schools are not allowed to offer athletic scholarships, many will assist with financial aid, grants and student loans. There are many division 2 and 3 schools whose hockey program and support rivals division 1.
Together there are more than 100 NCAA Universities and or Colleges who have a hockey program offering opportunities to almost 2500 student athletes each year.
